Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about UAE tint regulations, our films, and how booking with Tadleel works.

Legal & Compliance

What's the legal window tint percentage in the UAE?

UAE traffic authorities regulate how dark vehicle windows can be, particularly on the front windshield and front side windows, largely for driver identification and visibility. Regulations can vary by emirate and are updated periodically, so we always recommend confirming the current limits with Dubai’s RTA before your appointment. Our team will discuss compliant options for your front windows when you book, and our Shamel package’s front windshield coverage uses a light, compliant strip rather than a full dark tint.

Will I get fined for illegal tint?

Only if your tint falls outside the currently permitted range, which is why we recommend front-window configurations that stay within RTA guidelines. Rear windows typically allow darker film. If you’re unsure, ask our team for a compliant recommendation before booking.

Film & Performance

How long does window film last?

Our carbon and ceramic films are built to resist fading and bubbling for years under Dubai’s climate. Essential carries a 2-year warranty, while Shamel’s premium ceramic film is backed by a lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling and color change.

What's the difference between ceramic and standard (dyed) film?

Dyed film only reduces glare and offers modest heat rejection, and it’s prone to fading and purpling over time — we don’t use it. Carbon film (Essential) offers strong, stable heat and UV rejection without signal interference. Ceramic film (Shamel) uses non-conductive ceramic nanoparticles for the highest heat rejection and clarity with no fade risk.

Will tinting interfere with GPS, Salik or mobile signal?

No. All films we install are non-metallic, so Salik tags, GPS, and mobile/Bluetooth signals pass through without any interference.

Booking & Service

How long does installation take?

Essential installs typically take about 45 minutes, and Shamel’s full coverage (including the windshield) takes around 2 hours. We’ll confirm an estimated window when you book.

What areas of Dubai do you cover?

We offer mobile service across Dubai, including Downtown, Dubai Marina, JBR, Business Bay, Jumeirah, Deira, Al Barsha and Dubai Silicon Oasis. See our About page for more detail, or contact us to confirm coverage for your exact location.

Do I need to pay a deposit to book?

No deposit is required to reserve an appointment. Payment is collected by cash, card, or bank transfer once the job is complete and you’re satisfied with the result.

What's your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. Since no deposit is taken, late cancellations simply free up that slot for another customer — we just ask for as much notice as possible.

Warranty & Care

Will tinting void my car's manufacturer warranty?

Window film is a cosmetic, non-structural addition and does not affect your vehicle’s mechanical manufacturer warranty. It’s always worth checking your specific dealer’s policy if you have any doubts, particularly for leased vehicles.

How soon can I wash my car after tinting?

You can drive immediately, but we recommend keeping windows fully up for 3-5 days and avoiding automatic car washes for at least a week so the film cures and adheres fully.

Can old or damaged tint be removed and replaced?

Yes — we offer tint removal as part of any re-tint booking. Old film and adhesive are fully stripped and the glass cleaned before your new package is installed, so there’s no need to book removal separately.

What does the warranty actually cover?

Our warranty covers manufacturing and installation defects such as bubbling, peeling, cracking and discoloration under normal use. It does not cover physical damage from accidents, improper aftermarket cleaning products, or unauthorized removal attempts.

Still have a question?

Our team is happy to talk through your specific car and needs before you book.
